Our most appreciative thanks go out to Saint J Subaru for their recent Share the Love fundraiser which they graciously included us in. It is so inspiring to us to know how much our mission of helping other people everyday is supported by businesses like Saint J Subaru, as well as their staff and customers. We couldn't do what we do without the community backing us!
Fintech Strategies, Carter Farm, and Next level painting are proud to present a donation to H.O.P.E. from all contributions raised through the raffles at the Caledonia Home Show. As local businesses, we recognize the critical needs within our community and appreciate the vital role H.O.P.E plays in addressing them. We encourage everyone to consider supporting H.O.P.E with their next charitable contribution. Together, we can make a significant impact.
Heartwarming Gifts of Warmth
H.O.P.E. 's has once again collaborated with local organizations to bring back our community service project, Gifts of Warmth. This project took place February 9th, in Lyndonville, and with the help of the American Meteorological Society (AMS) at Vermont State University - Lyndon and H.O.P.E. Volunteers, winter hats, scarves and new Bombas socks were hung around downtown Lyndonville in an effort to get warm items to those in need. Items were packed into waterproof, sealed bags with a short informational note on a Valentine’s card; those cards were made with care by students from Lyndon Institute’s J-Term Community Service Class. This is the third year this project has been held, and it is our hope that these cold weather items will make their way to those most in need of them to stay safe and warm during the frigid Vermont winter months ahead. Though we do give out the majority of our services at our store location on 136 Church Street, there are always people who feel uncomfortable asking for help, so having a warm hat, dry pair of socks and a scarf available to them in town can mean a great deal to many this time of year. Our most heartfelt thanks go out to everyone who helped to make this project happen again this year.
On October 17th, John Heartson - Singer/Songwriter & Producer's Production of Return to Love was shown at the Alexander Twilight Theater at the Lyndon State University Campus. Roughly 300 people were in attendance for that night's performance of music and storytelling from 14 musicians. This was a labor of love, and in the end, $2,000 in ticket donations was presented to each of the following local non-profits: H.O.P.E., Umbrella and the Vermont Foodbank. John stopped in to H.O.P.E. Thursday December 14th to present the check to Operations Manager Jaime Brown. We'd like to express our heartfelt appreciation for the time and thought that went into this project, and how one person's plan can bring together so many in support of our community.
Thank you to Ellen and everyone from the Lyndonville United Methodist Church's woman's group who dropped off a donation to H.O.P.E. We greatly appreciate your support of our efforts!
Students from The Riverside School stopped by with their teacher to drop off decorations that were made to accompany our Thanksgiving boxes. Russel Desjardins and Zora Kane (pictured) along with their fellow classmates took part in community service activities today that assisted several area organizations. We thank them for their hard work and dedication to contributing to their community.
Thank you to HOPE sponsor Little Dippers for their recent donation of Thanksgiving meals for our emergency food pantry. Their daycare held a Thanksgiving meal for kids and their families last week and graciously donated the rest to H.O.P.E. Spreading holiday cheer and keeping our community fed is a mission that many of our HOPE sponsors embody throughout the year, and it is our privilege to have their support.
Thank you to Kathy Stetson and everyone who helped out in the Caledonia County Fair Floral Hall this year. Proceeds from the 50/50 raffle were donated to H.O.P.E.'s Backpack Program and we are honored for all the community support to help continue this vital program.

Recently, H.O.P.E. was honored with a sizable check from Lawson's Finest Liquids' Sunshine Fund, a charitable program that donates to 24 non-profit organizations in our area every year. Since it began back in 2018, the Sunshine Fund has distributed over $1,000,000 to Vermont nonprofits. Lawson’s Finest provides their staff with a living wage and generous benefit package, therefore 100% of guest donations to the Sunshine Fund will benefit local charitable endeavors. We feel incredibly honored to not only have received such a large donation, but to be recognized for the work we do to help other people everyday is amazing. Thank you to #lawsonsfinestliquids , and everyone who donated at their Taproom and Retail Store.
