Everyone Eats in the NEK has wrapped up as of June 30th 2021. A huge thank you goes out to The Burke Publick House for providing ready to eat meals over the last 10 months.
We'd also like to thank NECKA, without who's help this program wouldn't be possible. With their help, H.O.P.E. was able to distribute 1,496 meals, which fed 261 NEK residents, in 101 households over the course of the last 22 weeks alone!
Thank you to everyone who made this program the sucess that it was.
Together, we were able to help other people, everyday!
Over the past two years, when our region was hardest hit by the economic and social impacts of Covid-19, The White Market stepped up and continued their community fundraising campaign, just months after launching the program. In just over 2 years, more than $225,000 has been raised for the multiple non-profit organization recipients. It is truly astonishing what giving a little can do in a community our size. We are continually humbled by the generousity of our supporters, and the giving nature of those in the Northeast Kingdom.
Your continued support enables us to carry on our mission of helping other people, everyday.
We would not be able to do all that we do without you.
Thank you all!

At the end of the day we are trying to keep it together as they say, but the real goal of keeping it together is to make sure our children can continue to have every opportunity possible so they can be healthy, learn, and grow to be the best version of themselves. When we support one another in that effort, and as a community we take on the task of being a "mom" to all of the children in the community, the support our children get, the encouragement, and the love is unmatched. It takes a village to ensure the success of our children. So, the next time you see a "mom" who seems to be struggling, make a connection and see how you can help. Sometimes its as easy as having your friends child over for dinner so their "mom" can get caught up. Or its having a conversation with the teenager down the road who may seem like they need a little extra support. That conversation shows them that there are people out there that care about their well-being when they may feel completely alone. That hour and a half that you have your friends child over could mean the difference between being productive or having a melt down for that "mom". Everyone has their weak moments, however, EVERYONE has strengths to bring to the table--if everyone steps up with those strengths, and we fill the gaps as a community; as a village it means everyone wins, and everyone thrives.
So this Mother's Day, thank all of the "moms" who make up your village. All of the people who have been there when you've needed them, all of the tears they've helped turn into smiles, all of the people young and old who have ever said "I get it, I've been there, let me help", all of the people who have helped with pick ups and drop offs at school, who have brought your child home from practice, or have said "mom needs a minute lets go outside and give her a break"; all of these people are all part of your child's village and are there to help you to make sure they grow to be incredible human beings.
At HOPE, we have "moms" who help us through volunteering, donating, or reminding us that we are, in fact, making a difference; we could NOT do it without our village. So to our "moms" we say THANK YOU, you are all incredible souls with huge hearts--pat yourselves on the back.
Happy Mother's Day everyone!
