Before bringing in donations to the store, please read our policies below:


Thrift Store

Donations Policies

Please make sure everything is clean, and free of odors, stains, and holes.

We are able to take: 1 bag or box of donations per donation day

(no bags larger than 13 gallon kitchen garbage bags will be accepted)

No donations may be left after hours, all donations must be approved before left in the store.

Please be respectful of our donation policies.

Donation Days:  Wednesdays thru Fridays 10 am to 5 pm 

Saturdays  10 am to 4 pm

        unless otherwise posted


***H.O.P.E. is not able to offer pick up services for donations.****

Below are a list of the donations we are able to take at this time:

Preferably seasonal items

Clothing:

  • Men’s / Women’s Tops
  • long sleeves
  •  short sleeved t shirts/blouses
  •  dresses
  • sweatshirts/hoodies
  • sweat pants
  •  Men’s / Women’s Pajamas
  •  Men’s / Women’s Jeans
  • Women's jeans (size 12 and larger)
  •  Kids Clothing
  •  winter coats and snow pants
  •  winter boots
  •  sneakers
  • jeans/pants
  • long/short sleeved tops
  • sweatshirts/hoodies
  • leggings
  • shorts
  • socks

 

Household Items:

  • Complete Sheet sets (free of stains, odors, holes, washed)
  •  Blankets (free of odor, stains, holes, washed.)
  • Towels/Bathroom linens (free of odor, stains, holes, washed.)
  • All glass and or sharp items need to be packaged seperately for our safety
  •  Small appliances (Clean and in working conditions)
  •  toasters
  • coffee makers
  • hand mixers
  • Complete dish sets
  • Household Décor
  • Lamps/Lamp shades
  •  Puzzles (with all the pieces)
  •  Books (no older than 10 years)
  •  Romance
  •  Mystery
  •   Young Adult
  •  DVDs
  •  Board Games (with all the pieces)
  •  Kid toys (with all the pieces, working condition, nothing bulky)


 We strongly suggest people call ahead when they have items they'd like to donate as our policy is subject to  change at any time.

We do very much appreciate your donations; however, due to space limitations, there are some items we cannot accept.



Items we cannot accept:

  • Used underwear
  • China dishes - full or incomplete sets
  • Christmas decorations (unless they are new)
  • VHS, cassette tapes
  • TVs
  • Computers and computer components
  • Loose cords, out-of-date phone chargers, ethernet cords, phone cords.
  • Encyclopedias, text books, and books published more than 10 years ago
  • Broken items or items in need of repair
  • Skis, ski boots and large exercise equipment
  • Clothing hangers
  • Personal-care items, unless new or unused
  • Building supplies (tools, hardware, etc.)
  • Electronics that are not complete/do not work 
  • Out-of-date microwaves, ac units, humidifiers 
  • Car seats that are older than six years old
  • Toys that are broken or missing parts
  • Expired food
  • Yard Sales: any items left after holding a yard sale
  • Furniture (currently, due to space limitations, we are not able to accept any furniture)

HOPE T-Shirt 

 Each shirt purchased fills a backpack for a child who is facing food insecurity. 
Every week we give out over 85 backpacks filled with food for children in our community. Last year we gave out 2,908 backpacks!

The front reads "Birthplace Earth
Race: Human
Politics: Kindness"

The back reads "this shirt fed a child for a week"

Each T-shirt cost $25.00, and goes directly towards the backpack program.
